In March 2012, CPM was delighted to announce its partnership with one of the world’s largest non-profit organisations, Plan Ireland and this relationship has gone from strength to strength in recent months. Plan Ireland is an independent child-centred community development organisation with no religious, political or governmental affiliations. Plan is one of the oldest and largest international development agencies in the world and currently works in 50 developing countries supporting more than 9,000,000 people living in poverty.

Through our blue chip direct sales channel, CPM launched a campaign to help Plan Ireland fundraise for their long-term projects through child sponsorship and other programs.  Our 8-strong team of committed charity representatives are on the field each day, informing the public about Plan’s work and how the public can help through the various pledging programmes.

Now the devoted Plan Ireland team are going one step further in their efforts to aid Plan Ireland’s mission.  Sales Manager Thomas Garvin and Charity Representatives Sean Wade, Eimear Fagan and Adebukola Olusola will travel to beautiful, Linanne, Co.Galway tomorrow, Saturday, June 30th to take part in CPM Ireland’s first sponsored bungee jumping event with all proceeds being directly donated to Plan Ireland.  Our brave patrons will be holding their nerve while strapping themselves into harnesses and putting their legs on the line in as they jump and dangle from a 100ft ledge, all in the name of Charity.

Less adventurous CPM Office staff have been showing their support by buying and selling raffle tickets all week with the draw taking place this evening after our Company Briefing event in the Burlington Hotel.  Lucky winners will get their hands on some amazing prizes including an iphone, a designer bag, goodies from Nivea, and an overnight stay in the Carlton Hotel.  Again, all funds raised will go to support Plan Ireland’s vision of a world without poverty and one in which children can realise their full potential.

We wish the Plan Ireland team the very best of luck with the jump and hope they arrive home safe and smiling on Saturday, knowing they have raised much-needed funds for a cause very close to their hearts.

You can support Thomas and his team by pledging an online donation to Plan Ireland http://www.mycharity.ie/donate_charityIndex.php?charityID=169
